In most games of this genre, the basic formula is the same: control the extraction of resources to maintain and expand a base of operations, which is responsible for training, maintenance and improvement of troops. The troops, in turn, are responsible for complete and total annihilation of the enemy - which is often a prerequisite for victory.
In the series Majesty, however, the causal exposed above is cut in half. The troops are not directly controlled by the player, they have their own artificial intelligence and act independently. This does not mean they do what they please at any time, however. There are several ways to make your heroes to complete goals that you want, such as the ability to provide rewards for certain tasks - resulting in troops going after the money.
The flags of attack and exploration in the precious title gained two new partners this time, the defense and danger. The first serves to the armires protect specific parts of the "city", while the second prevents units still weak to attempt to subdue enemies too strong for their experience.
Something peculiar is that, although the title does not allow direct control of units, the focus is mainly on the heroes. It is possible to recruit several different types of these: warriors, thieves, mages, clerics and hunters. Each has different characteristics and unique behavior. Through improvements in buildings, can also be allowed to evolve for other classes such as warriors to paladins.
