Description:

Although based on the first Tropico, the gameplay in Pirate Cove is quite different. The player will assume an island of pirates and as the Pirate King, must keep them happy while plunders much treasure as you can. Workers, called captives, are arrested in raids, from shipwrecks off the coast of the island, and sent by the nations with which you has alliance. They are a vital source of the island's economy, since all constructions and productions are made by them, they can be farmers and lumberjacks and blacksmiths and even be promoted the pirates. Aside from that, the main objective is very similar to its predecessor: to stay in power.
Captives prefer order, and pirates prefer anarchy. Keep the captives in line through fear, but beware, they may flee and escape the island. If this occurs, they may inform any of the great powers - England, France or Spain - the location of your island, and they may send warships to attack you. Pirate ships could be built, and are used to plunder other islands or plunder enemy ships, increasing the gold that will be needed to build all the island will need.
